I have a smallish yard with quite a few bushes that need pruning. I should note that none of the bushes have excessivley thick branches. It trims them all very nicely. Additionaly, It is not too heavy for me to hold for a lenghth of time. The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is that Black and Decker should make it cordless like they do their weedwackers.
