The Black & Decker cordless shrubber is ideal for trimming and shaping small shrubs around the yard, as well as touch-ups on larger trimming work. The ergonomic and lightweight design allows for better control and less fatigue. Providing cordless convenience, this tool comes with a rechargeable 6-volt NiCad integral battery which gives approximately 30 minutes of run-time and a 16-hour external battery charger which plugs easily into any household outlet. Using machine-sharpened 6-inch steel blades, this shrubber quickly and cleanly trims shrubs and bushes in either direction and features an integrated lock-off button to prevent accidental start-ups for added safety. This product weighs just over 2 pounds and comes with a 2-year warranty. This grass shear also accepts the Black & Decker upright extension handle (sold separately) for more comfortable standing use and greater reach.

Seems nicely made and is easy to handle. However it's slow cutting speed and low power make it a tool only for cutting new soft growth. Even for that application I see it useful only for small jobs. It handles easily and holds a charge for longer than I would want to use it. The small size is an asset. It would be a good addition to a tool set that included a powerful, full size trimmer.
