The Black and Decker Grass Hog XP electric string trimmer and edger is a powerful and easy-to-use tool that gives you fast trimming performance in the toughest weeds, grass and overgrowth. The strong 7.2 Amp motor with high-torque transmission design delivers constant power. This trimmer offers a generous 14-inch cutting swath, and the .080-diameter heavy-duty dual-line system provides improved cutting ability with longer tool life. The Automatic Feed Spool (AFS) cuts faster, has less line wear, and uses centrifugal force so no bumping is required. This trimmer/edger has a lightweight design, weighing only 6.9 pounds, so it is easy to maneuver; the motor and transmission are mounted between the gripping areas, distributing the weight of the tool for better control and less fatigue. The featured Groom'N'Edge quickly converts the equipment from a trimmer to an edger and back again with just a push of the button; the head rotates 180 degrees and the flip-down edge guide makes edging along sidewalks, driveways, and flower-beds fast and simple. With only five minutes of use the line case cracked and line went everywhere. The working end is of a low grade plastic that can not withstand serious use. I would not have purchase this product knowing that the working end was made of a low grade material.
