This Hitachi Hardi-Blade Circular Saw Blade has a 12-inch diameter and is made for use with most 12-inch miter saws. This blade has a 1-inch arbor, and its special 8-tooth design provides precise, dust-reducing cuts. The blade's highly durable polycrystalline diamond tips provide 5 times longer cutting life than other diamond-tipped blades and 30 times longer cutting life than traditional carbide blades. The polycrystalline diamond tips also have self-sharpening properties. This blade is ideal for ripping, crosscutting, and mitering in fiber cement boards and siding. This product is backed by a 5-year limited warranty extended to the original purchaser.

Hitachi 18109 Hitachi's new 12" Hardie-Blade is designed to use in most 12" miter saws. This blade has a 1" arbor with an 8 tooth design for a dust reducing cut. The polycrystalline diamond tips provide more durability and a longer lifew than other diamond or carbid tipped blades. The polycrystalline diamond tps also have self sharpening properties. 5 times longer cutting life than other diamond tipped blades and 30 times longer than traditional carbide blades.

Not much needs to be said. This one delivers what you want in a saw blade; no noticeable vibration, cuts cleanly (top and bottom faces!), and lasts a long time considering you are essentially cutting cement and paper. Used on a 12" Bosch SCMS. One other thing, if you are considering following the manufacturer's advice and using a power shears to cut fiber cement instead of a saw blade to minimize dust, save your money, buy a dust mask, and get this blade. The shears won't ever get you consistent edges and smooth cuts like this (I regretably wasted my money on the PC one). Also, use a sharp utility knife blade to do the 'score and snap' method for those cuts the SCMS cannot do -- and get the Malco nippers too!
