Product Description
Special set of fine German bevel edge chisels packed in wooden box. The blade surfaces are finely ground but left unpolished. Eliminating this cosmetic step at the factory results in a substantial savings for the consumer.

I will compare this set to JW, Iyoroi and Matsumoro Japanese chisels; Swan, Whitherby and White old US chisels, and Sorby, Crown, Ashley Iles British chisels. First, Two Cherries and Hirsch produce literally the same chisels. Chisel's metal is optimal; it is not as brittle as in Japanese chisel and not as soft as in British chisels. Therefore, they keep keenness longer and edge does not chip away. Some British chisels need extensive lapping of the back for truing. Two Cherries do not need. Finally, only one minus of Two Cherries is handle design; they are too bulky.
