Manufacturer Description
Keeping a close eye on your home does not have to involve an expensive security system. Monitor the inside temperature and the power with a sensor that will call you to alert you if the temperature dips or rises to a dangerous level or if the power goes out for any length of time. The Deluxe Freeze Alarm uses your existing telephone line to call three phone numbers when the temperature drops below the set point you determine or if the power goes out. You can add an auxiliary sensor, as well. You can even call in to check on your home remotely, changing settings from your cell phone or adjusting the thermostat, ideal for vacation homes. The Deluxe Freeze Alarm is powered by an AC adapter and requires a 9-volt battery (not included) as a backup.

I have a vaction home and was looking for a new Freeze Alarm. I pick the Deluxe Freeze since you can call it and check the current temp. This is a key feature since you need to know if the house is warming up after the repair man "fixed it". My old alarm would stay it alarm until the room temp was above the set point. The problem was you had to wait hours not knowing if the heat was back on or if the oil tank gelled again. The set-up was easy and the quality seems good! I plan to use the remote switch funtion, to provide for a remote warm funtion. This feature does require another Thermostat and some wiring work. Seems like Freeze Alarm to get!
