If you feel encumbered and limited by most gloves and can't stand the heat and sweat trapped by many leather and synthetic gloves, these are a great pick. These gloves are flexible enough to fit securely without constricting, and I can do surprisingly detailed work--such as using a digital camera, reaching in my pocket, taking notes, etc... I recently wore some of the material off after a lot of materials work, but I will surely use them for much longer. Cannot comment on the "gel" feature, as I have used little heavy or vibrating equipment with them. Incidentally, I found them bundled with some excellent kneepads for only $30 at a local auto-parts store.
