It's fairly small, lightweight and easy to handle. Not being tied to a power cord/outlet was also nice to have. However, I found it to be underpowered (which may be common for cordless saws) and of poor quality. I had two of them burn their motors on me within two weeks. If all you're looking to do is to occasionally cut 2x4s and such with it - it's a good saw. However, I bought it for building a deck, and it was having hard time cutting through 2x8s and 2x10s. And because of it's small blade, it couldn't cut through a 4x4 at all. After the second one burned, I returned it and went back to a corder saw to finish the job.
