This is a reconditioned power tool. Reconditioned generally means that the tool has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the tool back to like new condition. Some tools may contain cosmetic blemishes.
If you're looking for unparalleled power, here's the saw for you. In addition to the sheer brawn, Bosch really has finessed this machine, and the beauty is in the details. Our favorite feature is the Direct Connect system: The tool itself has no power cord, just a receptacle for your extension cord and a super locking mechanism to keep the cord connected. It's so secure that you can actually lower the tool off scaffolding to the ground by the cord. Next time you accidentally cut the cord, it won't put the whole saw out of commission: Just grab another extension cord. Storage is a breeze, too, because there's no integrated cord to tangle with. We love the left-side blade for unmatched line of sight, the worm drive gear train will hold up for years under the toughest conditions. Changing depths and bevels are fast, easy, single-lever operations, and you'll like the lower guard design when slicing off a narrow piece because it does not snag. A 15 amp motor and a wormdrive gear train mean ultimate durability and maximum tool life. Bosch¿s inventive Direct Connect Cord System lets you plug the extension cord directly into the saw for convenient tool storage. A left blade design offers better visibility, and a rear-handle means straighter, faster cuts. An anti-snag lower guard reduces hang-ups when making narrow cutoffs. The saw also features a built-in saw hook, 50-degree bevel capacity with a positive stop at 45 degrees, and a magnesium waffle-design footplate for greater strength and stability. Reconditioned.

I just received this saw from Amazon today after shopping for quite some time. My original pick was the Skil Mag worm drive saw but I like the features of this one better. The direct connect is a great idea. The tool hook they refer to in the specs doesn't show up in the pictures (it's NOT the hook you see below the handle, that's to hook the cord onto.) The tool hook is a folding piece of round bar, very heavy duty & looks like it's sized to hook on 2x framing material. The picture shows a blade with it but doesn't specifically mention it but it does come with a 24T diamond arbor Bosch blade. My unit came looking brand-new except for a couple of small nicks in the paint, I'm verry happy with the condition. [...] Also in regards to the Skil brand which is owned by the same company as Bosch, it mentions releif bellows & an oil level indicator. This saw does require oil for the gear box but it has a plug you must remove to check the level. Overall I am very excited to use this saw, I have built a few decks over the years in addition to home projects & can't wait to see how it performs, I'm sure I won't be disappointed. One other note: I own a Bosch jig-saw & it's also the finest one I've ever seen.
