I have been using this saw for years professionally, it is a must have for the master carpenter who demands clean cuts and wants to save time on intricate cutting and scribing operations. I have gone through a few of these over the years and am currently getting a new one. I am surprised by the less than popular reviews, this is not meant to be used as a replacement for an electric skill saw or for heavy cutting operations like continuous rips. This tool is best used in finish work and for special cutting operations like back cutting before sanding a scribe on a counter top for example. I have also used it to cut out drywall in remodel work etc, saves hecka time. This saw cuts clean and accurately it's amazing how much time you can save with this thing. When you need a more powerful saw, use one, this saw would not be a good choice for heavy work such as riping sheets of plywood all day as it is only a 12 volt tool. I recommend this saw to finish carpenters and cabinet installers for special cutting. I have purchased 100's of power tools over the years and have used all the major brands of cordless and electric tools in all categories in commercial construction. Two Thumbs Up
