The Diafold Ceramic Serrated Knife Sharpener maintains sharp edges on all your serrated cutlery. DMT incorporates the finer abrasive characteristics of ceramic with a lightweight aluminum base to create an unbreakable, wear resistant sharpener. Designed with DMT's convenient folding plastic handles enclosing the sharpener when not in use. This sharpener can be used as a "mini steel". Ceramic surface (7 micron / 2200 mesh) to achieve a polished edge. Size: 1/4" to 1/16" taper. This tool does a great job of sharpening serrated knife edges. It's not as fast as a diamond tool, but it creates a finer edge, and leaves the work area with a mirror shine. Great for touching up your serrated blades, or even for giving a factory edge a little extra. The company also makes this tool available with diamond abrasive in two different grits. It would be nice if Amazon offered them, as they would be perfect for restoring a beat up knife. This tool is still a needed accessory though, as it begins where the diamond grits leave off. Even "so so" serrated knives can be sharpened quickly with this little gem.
