DeWalt's DW756 performs all grinding operations, including sharpening tools, deburring, rust removal, shaping parts, and cleaning objects. The unit is powered by a 4 amp, all-ball-bearing enclosed induction motor that produces 5/8 horsepower. It features a rugged cast-iron base and motor housing to provide durability and prolong life. The motor runs at 3,450 rpm for high-speed material removal. The spindle diameter is 1/2 inch. Standard equipment includes eye shields, spark deflectors, tool rests, 36- and 60-grit wheels and an adjusting wrench.

I am Currently starting my workshop in my garage. So I set out one day for the basics, a drill press, a table saw, an air compressor and a bench grinder. That day I came home with the 6 inch DeWalt bench grinder. Since that day, I've used it to sharpen lawn mower blades, remove burs from angle iron I've drilled and many other chores. I've used other makes of the 6 inch bench grinder, and they just simply don't have the guts of the DeWalt. The DeWalt bench grinder starts up fast, doesn't have a problem removing neccessary material, and runs very quietly. It is relatively easy to change wheels, the only improvement I would make on the grinder would be to use finger tightening screws to make it easier to change grinding wheels. Other than that...Great Job DeWalt!
