What a great purchase! The bits are sharp and sturdy, and they cut through wood like it's butter. They come to a point at a wide angle, so they're less likely to slide away from your drilling point as you start drilling. I've only owned them for a few weeks, so I can't attest to how long they'll stay this sharp. Also, I've yet to try drilling through metal. The set comes with two bits for some of the popular sizes, which is great since I tend to lose or break my 1/8" bit all the time. The case itself is quite sturdy, but a little oversized. The bits are held firmly in place, so you never open your case after a bumpy car ride to have all 13 bits fall to your feet. If you own a DeWalt drill, it fits snugly in the drill case. My one complaint is that the sliding lock is really tough to open and close.
