Don't be mislead, 98 percent of those "Yanmar Engineered" engines out there are made in China and have nothing in common with the real thing. Yanmar buys these engines from a top quality Italian manufacturer. 2000 hours plus, and two years plus, running fine, using NO oil, purrs like a kitten and powers anything I think to hook up to it - including a heavy walk-in freezer unit. This is the finest generator I've used to date, sips diesel fuel at low loadings, and does decently fully loaded as well. A tad loud, but compared to the "Chinese Yanmar" I also own, it is quiet. Parts availability from Northern Tool very good. A tip: The wheel kit they sell for the thing uses cheap chinese wheels that fall apart in about 3 months if they don't go flat first. Buy the kit, but instead of buying replacement wheels, order commercial aluminum casters elsewhere, with grease fittings, to replace the cheapies when they fail - and you will have a generator on permanent wheels.
