The hopper bottle was designed to use with the Homax Manual and Pneumatic guns (#4205, #4405P and #4610) and allows the user to mix their own texture. It is designed with a wide mouth, screw-on lid that helps prevent spillage when filling and can be reattached for storing texture. Attaches directly onto the guns and holds either Homax texture, or a variety of other manufacturers’ texture material.

It is really just a plastic bottle but it much quicker and easier to mix a small batch of joint compound and use the hand sprayer for small areas.
