The 23-gauge pin nailer kit from Bostitch is ready to upgrade your woodworking operation with its hefty pin capacity. This tough model holds fasteners from 1/2-inch to 1-3/16-inch, which is a generous 19 percent increase over competitive models. Specially designed to minimize downtime, the HP118Ks side-loading magazine adjusts to different fastener sizes automatically and houses up to 200 pins at a time; and the low-profile tip tapers down to the contact point for a clear line of sight from any angle.
The HP118K is packed with helpful convenience and performance features, including an integrated high/low power control for precise depth setting without changing your compressor settings. It also boasts a dual trigger for safe operation, 60 in./lbs. of power, a rear exhaust, and an overmolded grip for maximum comfort. This versatile nailer can countersink 1-3/16-inch pin nails into hard woods -- even oak and maple -- with ease.
With its lightweight aluminum body, the HP11k weighs just 2.17 pounds so you can lift and drive fasteners all day with less effort and fatigue. And since it's such a compact little brute (just 7.81 by 9.06 inches), you can maneuver it into all kinds of tight spaces without a hitch or a hang-up. Yes , there is a problem with driving 1 3/16" pins but Bostitch will send you an easy fix, a new driver/piston. I am surprised that no one called them and posted this . I always contact the manufacturer with any issues first, some are very helpful and others are not. Great CS from them, as I always have had from them, and an other wise very well made compact driver now will work just fine. As far as using 2"pins, they are too long for this gauge in real wood[18 ga.2"brads is even pushing it] ;they bend easily and can "blowout" of the wood[follow the grain] when using to be really useful anyway but the 1 3/16" is perfect for shoe base mld. for flooring installs and no filler is really needed. 1" pin guns limits the usefulness as other brands have as their longest length. 4 stars for the tool as is, and add 1 star for Bostitch being there to fix their problem making the gun excellent now.
