Bought this item in Jan 08 because of the flexability it offered. I got around to plugging it in to charge it about a week after I received it and let it charge for the required initial 24 hrs. I had to go on a business trip driving a rent-a-truck for a 1300 mile journey and thought this would be great to bring along to listen to my ipod ..... After about 10 minutes into the journey the battery died. Repeatedly tried to get it to hold a charge, but to no avail .... Called Black and Decker and they refered me to a service center here in town (Luckily it was 2 minutes from my house) to get it repaired or replaced. Brought it in and they took the old unit and said i should get a replacement unit in the mail within 2 weeks. Will update on the Progress ........ Boy was I schocked .... I received a new one in 8 days ... charging it now for the initial 24 hours but can already see that it is actually charging ..... Great customer service from Black and Decker .......
