this radio takes a beating without a glitch, mine has been dropped from eight feet, lowered and swung from the cord countless times, buried in sawdust and it still sounds and works like the day i got it. the only bad thing is it starts acting funny when the battery gets low, but that easily takes 6-8 hours. this is an expensive radio, but if you are in the trades and want a radio with good sound that will last a long time under harsh daily conditions this is a good product.
