I had looked at all of the available wind up radios, on Amazon and other sites. I really liked the smaller size of this one and felt it was perfect for me. When it arrived, I liked the feel of it and the size. But it didn't work. I followed the instructions to the letter, and it never played. The instructions say that if you wind it for 60 seconds, you can expect 10-15 minutes of play time. I wound for 60 seconds and got nothing. Then 120 seconds. Then 180 seconds. I never heard a chirp. I tried AM, FM, and Weather; I tried adjusting the volume; I re-read the instructions (several times). I could clearly see that it was charging (at least the Charging LED would light up as I cranked), but the only time I heard a sound was when I listened to the headphones while winding. Then I heard an electronic hum (of me winding, I guess). Disappointing. Amazon gave me an RMA, and it's on its way back. I ordered the Grundig FR200 today, instead.
