I keep this downstairs as part of a emergency kit but have tried it out to make sure it works as it should. All the functions work as promised, and reception is surprisingly good. The only thing I don't like about it is the tuning, which is automatic and doesn't allow you to manually tune in a specific station - it scans for the next one, which is fine if there is a strong signal, but what if the station you want/need has a weak signal where you are? I don't know, since, to tell the truth, I don't listen to terrestrial radio very often, but for some folks this might be an issue.
