Wiegand output is provided allowing the reader unit to be connected to a multi-door access control.

I have not order one of these readers from Amazon, but I am a security systems dealer. We have installed maybe 11 or 12 of these units in outdoor and indoor locations. They seemed to work fine for about 5 months, then they systematically started failing. When I called the manufacture and explained my problem, they said it must be something I was doing or the method of wiring I was using. I explained how I had them hooked up and the application in which I was using them( which they said was correct )and they still could not give me a good reason why they were failing. In short, every time a storm blows through, or whenever the power company has a brown out, I end up replacing one or two of these units. Granted, lightening can cause damage to any electronic device, but we use a lot of access equipment and I can't say that I've had as many problems with so few a product as the Secura Key RK-65K. If I were you, I would go with an IEI or Doorking product.
